Rights Management Analyst

Location: Remote (West Coast-based candidates only)

Note: This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, experience interpreting contractual language, and a background in rights management, content operations, or media distribution.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting rights management, contract administration, or content distribution
  • Strong ability to interpret contracts and analyze legal agreements
  • Familiarity with distribution rights and music rights
  • Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, validation, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with Airtable (preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)

Job Summary

This role is responsible for interpreting contracts, validating distribution rights, maintaining rights data, and partnering with legal and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate rights information across streaming platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret acquisition and licensing agreements to determine distribution rights.
  • Validate and maintain rights data across internal systems.
  • Compile, analyze, migrate, and validate large datasets using Excel and rights management tools.
  • Partner with legal and global teams to confirm rights, contract terms, and distribution windows.
  • Serve as the primary contact for rights-related questions from internal stakeholders.
  • Support cross-functional teams including Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, Production, and Content Operations.
  • Assist with data integrity initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
