About the Role

Will serve as the key QA liaison between the project management and QA team. Defining the Test strategy for delivery of quality software applications. Prepare test plans and process flows for detailed schedules, environments, resources, etc. Estimate timelines for deliverables like Test designing, Test execution and Test automation for new application enhancements. Allocating and coordinating daily tasks among QA team members for Onshore and Offshore teams. Analyze requirements for the new enhancements, identifying the test scenarios for the assigned User Stories, and making sure team members are clear with the requirements. Working with Business Analysts and Product owners to clarify the requirements. Develop, review, and maintain automation test scripts, and defining the automation test strategy. Create a requirement mapping matrix, which involves mapping all the requirements to the test cases to ensure the test coverage. Review all QA deliverables to ensure conformity to quality standards, training and motivating the team. Develop API (Application Programming Interface) Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tests using Behave, writing feature files and step definitions in Gherkin syntax for clear and collaborative test scenarios, backed up by Python code. Implementing the feature file Step Definitions using the Python code. Test API-based interfaces and applications. Testing REST APIs using POSTMAN/ JMeter/Swagger, validating endpoints, JSON payload requests, and responses, response codes via HTTP methods, headers, and authentication mechanisms to ensure the reliability and accuracy of backend services. Develop proof of concepts for the new automation solutions and presenting it to the team. Recommending test automation solutions for recursive manual time-consuming tasks such as regression test and smoke test executions. Maintaining test data for manual functional testing and automated test execution. Triage newly identified defects with business stakeholders, identifying impacts with developers, and performing fixes and retests. Attend all Agile ceremonies like backlog refinement, Iteration planning, Daily scrum, Retrospective and Sprint reviews. Connect with various external application teams and analyzing impact of enhancement in application under test with other applications. Analyze risk and implement mitigation and contingency plans. Solicit periodic feedback from engineering team for continuous improvement.

Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field.
