Desktop Support Technician
Location: San Diego, CA (92127)
Schedule: 100% Onsite
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on support for end users in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong Windows and Mac support experience who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and contributing to desktop and endpoint management initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Windows and macOS systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and application issues.
- Configure, deploy, image, and maintain desktops and laptops.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 and related productivity applications.
- Perform software installations, updates, security patching, and endpoint maintenance.
- Assist with asset management, inventory tracking, and hardware lifecycle activities.
- Document issues, solutions, procedures, and technical processes.
- Work closely with Service Desk and other IT teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Support desktop security standards and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, and licensing information.
- Provide exceptional customer service while supporting users both remotely and in person.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of desktop support or technical support experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Experience supporting macOS environments.
- Experience with Active Directory administration and user account management.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with desktop imaging, software deployment, and endpoint management tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Experience working in a ticketing system and SLA-driven environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in San Diego (92127).
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, or similar).
- Experience with SCCM, MECM, Ivanti, LANDesk, or similar endpoint management tools.
- Network+ or CCNA certifications.
- ITIL certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with software packaging, patch management, and enterprise desktop administration.
