Accounts Payable Manager

A venture-backed, high-growth AI technology startup is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to help build and scale its accounting operations. This is a newly created opportunity for someone who enjoys creating processes from the ground up, driving operational excellence, and supporting a rapidly expanding organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience supporting high-growth technology companies through periods of significant scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process
• Develop and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and payment operations
• Partner with Finance and business leaders to improve purchasing workflows
• Support month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and audit requests
• Drive automation, process improvements, and system optimization initiatives
• Assist with cash flow management and reporting
• Build and lead an Accounts Payable team as the organization grows

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience within startup, hypergrowth, or public company environments
• Background supporting technology, SaaS, AI, or other high-growth industries
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit compliance, and AP best practices
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
• Proven ability to improve processes and scale operations
• Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
