An established commercial real estate company is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their accounting team. This individual will be responsible for property accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, budgeting support, and partnering with property management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle property accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review CAM reconciliations and tenant billings.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Partner closely with property management teams to support operational and financial objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and support audit and compliance requirements.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
- 2+ years of property accounting experience
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- Experience preparing CAM reconciliations
- Yardi experience required
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
