A fast-growing technology company in the South Bay is seeking a Senior Accountant for a newly created position on its growing accounting team. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure beyond traditional GL accounting, with significant ownership across financial close, revenue accounting, order-to-cash operations, process improvement, and automation.
The company has an established operating history and is continuing to scale its U.S. and international operations. With a potential future IPO in mind, the accounting team is focused on strengthening controls, improving systems, automating manual processes, and building a more scalable finance infrastructure.
What You’ll Do:
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and balance sheet/P&L analysis
- Support ASC 606 revenue recognition and related accounting activities
- Help redesign and scale the end-to-end order-to-cash process
- Partner across contract execution, billing, collections, cash application, and revenue recognition
- Identify process gaps and opportunities to improve controls, accuracy, and efficiency
- Help develop scalable processes and documentation as the business introduces new products and commercial models
- Support revenue forecasting, projections, and actual-to-forecast variance analysis
- Assist with sales commission tracking and reconciliations
- Support annual audit requests, schedules, documentation, and accounting research
- Help drive systems enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives
- Leverage NetSuite, advanced Excel, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual processes and improve reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in the U.S. and Asia
- Play an active role in building an accounting infrastructure that can support continued growth and potential future IPO readiness
What They’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue accounting
- Experience working within a technology company or supporting technology clients
- Strong GL, reconciliation, and financial close experience
- Experience using AI tools within a professional environment
- Advanced Excel and financial/operational analysis skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- CPA and/or Big 4/public accounting experience is a huge plus
Additional Plus:
- NetSuite experience
- Experience with order-to-cash transformation or revenue operations
- Experience supporting process automation or systems implementations
- Pre-IPO or other high-growth company experience
- Experience working with international or global teams
