Sr. Software Developer (#906827E)

Will design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs and event-driven applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks. Develop, maintain, and monitor messaging systems using Kafka to enable asynchronous communication and data streaming between microservices. Implement Kafka producers and consumers to process high-volume transactional data and ensure reliable event-driven workflows. Build and maintain cloud-based applications using microservice architecture and domain-driven design principles, with experience in Azure cloud platforms. Develop and optimize relational database applications, primarily using Oracle, and performing complex SQL queries. Integrate monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry to ensure system reliability, performance, and security. Utilize DevSecOps practices and tools, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker, to automate builds, deployments, and testing workflows. Collaborate with product owners, technical managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Ensure adherence to ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management to maintain operational excellence. Conduct technical evaluations and recommend improvements in software, infrastructure, and development processes. Research emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions that enhance system functionality and efficiency. Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and project review meetings. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify system gaps, redundant processes, and opportunities for modernization and optimization. Ensure software solutions meet non-functional requirements for scalability, security, and maintainability while aligning with organizational standards. Assist in design discussions and implementation of messaging workflows using Azure Service Bus (ASB). Collaborate with business and technical teams to gain understanding of Financial Services domain applications and processes.

Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and one year of experience in the Software Industry.
