Payroll Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Ambler, PA
Schedule: Hybrid opportunity after training
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will support day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Review, audit, and validate payroll data and employee records
  • Assist with payroll tax reporting, garnishments, deductions, and adjustments
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
  • Maintain payroll documentation and records
  • Generate payroll-related reports and support audits
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams on payroll matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience processing payroll in a high-volume environment
  • Required experience with UKG or Paylocity
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll system implementations or migrations
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing
  • Experience handling garnishments, deductions, and payroll adjustments
