Staff Accountant – local to Milford, DE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team local to Milford, Delaware. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and assistance with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Support financial reporting and audit preparation
- Analyze financial data and assist with process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 1-3+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
