We are working with a engineering client that is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) who is passionate about building relationships, developing business opportunities, and serving as a technical leader within their area of expertise.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who has established connections within the Boise and Treasure Valley market and enjoys creating opportunities through networking, community involvement, and client relationship development. While technical expertise is important, success in this role will be driven by the ability to build trust, strengthen industry relationships, and help expand business opportunities.
Candidates may come from a variety of disciplines, including:
- Structural Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Land Development
- Mechanical Engineering
- Surveying
- Land Planning
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Leverage existing industry relationships to identify and secure new project opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, contractors, architects, municipalities, and other industry stakeholders.
- Participate in networking events, professional organizations, and community involvement activities.
- Support proposal development, project pursuits, and client presentations.
- Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the Idaho market.
Technical Leadership
- Lead projects within your area of expertise.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and quality assurance.
- Review, stamp, and seal engineering documents as required.
- Mentor junior team members and support professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects.
Client & Project Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and client expectations.
- Foster long-term relationships that result in repeat business and referrals.
Required Qualifications
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Strong technical background in Structural, Civil, Land Development, Mechanical, Surveying, or Land Planning disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business and cultivate professional relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of growth initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Established network within the Boise and Treasure Valley market.
- Experience generating new project opportunities or contributing directly to business growth.
- Leadership experience managing projects, teams, or client relationships.
- Active involvement in industry organizations and community events.
