We are seeking an experienced Regional Engineering Manager to provide engineering leadership and technical support across multiple manufacturing facilities within a regional operation. This role is responsible for the planning, design, installation, optimization, and continuous improvement of equipment, processes, and production systems.
The Regional Engineering Manager will partner closely with production and plant leadership teams to investigate operational challenges, analyze root causes, and implement engineering solutions that improve safety, reliability, productivity, and overall plant performance. This position provides engineering oversight for three manufacturing locations and serves as a key leader in driving operational excellence throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering leadership and support for multiple manufacturing operations across the region.
- Lead the planning, design, installation, and optimization of industrial equipment and production processes.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and plant leadership teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Analyze manufacturing challenges and develop engineering-based solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.
- Manage projects from concept through implementation and completion.
- Utilize process improvement methodologies, diagnostic tools, and data analysis techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on operational performance, safety, and productivity improvements.
- Support day-to-day mill operations by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, effectively, and in alignment with business objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or related discipline).
- 8+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies and operational excellence principles.
- Experience utilizing data analysis, diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting techniques to solve manufacturing challenges.
- Demonstrated success leading complex engineering projects from inception through completion.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
- Wood products industry experience is beneficial but not required.

This role supports three manufacturing facilities within a closely connected regional footprint. The Regional Engineering Manager will focus on operational engineering and continuous improvement initiatives rather than serving solely as a capital projects engineer. The position offers significant ownership and visibility, allowing the successful candidate to drive impactful improvements from concept through implementation while partnering directly with mill leadership teams.
