Our client near Quonset Rhode Island is seeking a Manufacutring Technician that has strong electromechanical foundations that will help build Underwater Autonomous Vehicles. Candidates with mechanical or assembly experience with automotive, marine, aerospace, or industrial equipment are an excellent fit
Prior or Current Military or Defense Experience is desirable but not required.
Pay Rates are $25-40/hr depending on prior experience
This role is 100% onsite Monday-Friday
This is a 6 month contract that will likely extend long term
Description:
- Work with engineers and technicians to build and assemble AUVs.
- Build, install, and test mechanical and electrical components.
- Install and repair cables and wiring harnesses.
- Build jigs and fixtures to support assembly and testing.
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed.
- Support AUV builds from development through final production and provide feedback to engineers.
- Help create and improve assembly procedures.
- Keep manufacturing work areas organized and maintained.
- Travel offshore occasionally to support testing and field operations.
