Overview:
We are seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support a rapidly growing aerospace and defense organization that designs and manufactures unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems for government and national security applications. Due to continued growth and expansion, the company is scaling operations and replicating key manufacturing capabilities across multiple facilities.
This individual will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to manage product documentation, engineering changes, and configuration control processes supporting a large-scale equipment replication initiative.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting engineering change processes, PLM systems, and technical documentation who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment where their work directly impacts mission-critical programs.
Project
The team is currently executing a major expansion effort that requires the replication of approximately 90 pieces of manufacturing and test equipment by year-end. Success in this role will directly support documentation accuracy, change management, and configuration control efforts critical to the project’s timeline and future growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, process, and release engineering and manufacturing changes including ECOs, ECRs, MCOs, deviations, and related documentation
- Coordinate change activities across engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation submitted for release
- Track and shepherd change orders through the entire release lifecycle
- Maintain configuration control within PLM systems
- Support creation, coordination, and implementation of engineering documentation updates
- Develop a strong understanding of products, documentation standards, and configuration management processes
- Prioritize workload effectively while meeting project schedules and deadlines
- Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple disciplines to ensure successful execution
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Configuration Management experience
- Experience processing and managing ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and MCOs (Manufacturing Change Orders)
- Experience working within PLM or change management systems
- Strong attention to detail and documentation control experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to review and understand technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or highly regulated engineering environments
- Experience supporting engineering and manufacturing teams through configuration and documentation processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Experience working with cross-functional teams supporting complex technical products
