Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. This individual will partner with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and assist with special projects during periods of growth, transition, or system implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
- Assist with financial reporting and management reporting packages.
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist with ERP implementations, system upgrades, and process automation projects.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical accounting guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
