We are currently seeking a high-caliber Controller to lead the financial operations of our client’s facility. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring total fiscal integrity, driving cost efficiencies, and mentoring a high-performing accounting team.

The Role at a Glance

As the Controller, you will serve as the financial backbone of the plant, overseeing all aspects of the business from accounts payable/receivable to payroll and tax reporting. You will ensure strict compliance with Corporate Policies, GAAP, and SOX requirements, while acting as a strategic partner to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee the accounting staff, providing mentorship to ensure accuracy in analysis and reporting.

  • Strategic Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide day-to-day management decisions.

  • Fiscal Oversight: Maintain the general ledger and ensure monthly/yearly closings are executed with precision.

  • Operational Excellence: Enforce fiscal responsibility within plant operations, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.

  • Audit & Compliance: Facilitate external audits and maintain a robust internal control environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Manufacturing Expertise: A strong background in Product Cost Accounting (standard cost systems) and plant finance.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level Excel skills and deep knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.

  • Analytical Rigor: The ability to move beyond “simple reporting” toward strategic data interpretation and proactive problem-solving.

  • Budgeting Mastery: Proven experience with rolling budgets, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
