Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit in Manhattan to bring Payroll Manager to their team. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, system optimization, and process improvement across a multi-state environment. If you have 4+ years of experience, please apply!
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process for a multi-state employee population
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and payroll regulations
- Maintain expert-level proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and payroll-related data analysis
- Oversee payroll accounting activities, including payroll-related ledger accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
- Analyze and interpret payroll data to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making
- Identify inefficiencies within payroll workflows and implement improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Serve as a key partner to HR, Finance, and leadership on payroll-related initiatives
- Support and/or lead HRIS and payroll system implementations, upgrades, or integrations
- Prepare internal reports and respond to audit or compliance inquiries as needed
- Ensure clear documentation of payroll procedures and controls
