Beacon Hill Associates is seeking a Mail Clerk to support daily mailroom operations, workplace services, and general administrative functions within a large office environment.


Assignment Details

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch (one day per week scheduled to close)
Assignment: Contract
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Parking: Free parking onsite
Dress Code: Business casual


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Mail & Shipping Operations

  • Collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail throughout the office
  • Process outgoing mail in compliance with postal and shipping vendor regulations
  • Receive and log incoming packages and deliveries
  • Operate postage meters, shipping software, scales, and related mailroom equipment
  • Assist with preparing shipments and coordinating with overnight carriers

Administrative & Workplace Support

  • Communicate with employees and vendors regarding mail or shipment inquiries
  • Maintain organized records related to mailroom operations
  • Assist with general administrative support tasks as needed
  • Support shared workplace operations to ensure smooth daily office functionality

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with employees, vendors, and visitors
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and assist with heavier items using equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks
  • Comfortable walking throughout the building and using stairs as part of daily responsibilities
  • Basic computer skills including email and word processing
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred
  • Previous mailroom, shipping/receiving, facilities, or administrative experience is a plus
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
