We are looking to hire a remote Bankruptcy Filing Paralegal focused on preparing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions and schedules. Debtor experience ONLY.
This is NOT an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who has already prepared at least 200 bankruptcy petitions/schedules, with 300+ preferred. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys the schedule-building side of bankruptcy, is highly detail-oriented, comfortable reviewing financial documents, and can produce clean, attorney-ready filings with minimal corrections.
The role is production-focused. Our team collects and organizes the client documents before the file is assigned, so this person would not primarily be chasing documents. They would review the information, prepare schedules, identify inconsistencies or red flags, make revisions, and work directly with our attorneys to get the cases ready for filing.
We are looking for someone with experience in consumer bankruptcy, preferably Chapter 7 and Chapter 13, who is comfortable with income calculations, expenses, assets, liabilities, secured debts, exemptions, creditor information, and means tests. Experience with bankruptcy software and electronic filing systems is also helpful.
Salary is based on experience.
