Our client, a lean venture capital firm managing a diverse portfolio of high-growth companies across technology, space, robotics and more, is seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and intellectually curious Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, is naturally inquisitive, and is motivated to grow into a strategic operator or executive. Rather than focusing solely on task execution, this individual will be responsible for identifying problems, researching solutions, and bringing clarity to areas where the CEO lacks bandwidth. This role offers exposure across venture investing, operations, finance, real estate, and more – serving as a launchpad for long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and emerging needs across business and personal priorities
- Research and define problems across finance, real estate, HR, legal, and operations
- Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
- Evaluate investment opportunities, market trends, and new business initiatives
- Lead high-impact, ad hoc projects from initial research through final recommendation
- Review documents (legal, financial, etc.) and flag key points, risks, or considerations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, benefits, and overall operational efficiency
- Support executive prioritization and ensure time is spent on highest-value activities
- Provide light administrative and project coordination support as needed, with a strategic lens
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience (consulting, finance, startups, or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other analytically rigorous disciplines
- Strong critical thinking and curiosity
- Ability to operate independently in an unstructured environment
- Excellent research and communication skills
