Benefits Specialist
- Location: Maple Grove, MN (100% Onsite)
- Pay Rate: $70,000- $80,000 a year
- Position Type: Permanent employee
- Start Date: Determined once filled
Provides administrative and operational support for employee benefits programs, ensuring smooth daily execution of benefits-related activities. Responsible for entering, maintaining, and updating employee benefits information, enrollments, and changes within HRIS and benefits administration systems. Handles routine benefits documentation, including enrollment processing, life event updates, and employee requests. Maintains accurate benefits records and files, ensuring documentation is organized, up to date, and easily accessible. Assists with open enrollment activities, benefits reporting, invoice reconciliation, and other benefits-related projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Competitive candidates will have experience with:
- 3-5 years of employee benefits administration experience
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Paycom, UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar systems
- Leave management, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs
- Benefits enrollment administration and annual open enrollment coordination
- Managing relationships with benefits vendors and service providers
- ACA compliance and reporting requirements
- Developing and delivering employee benefits communications and education materials
Key Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential employee information
- Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR technology systems
