A well-establised South Florida intellectual property boutique law firm, seeks an experienced Trademark Paralegal with 3+ years of recent, hands-on experience with U.S. and forgein trademark prosecution.
The ideal candidate must have great organizational skills, good documentation habits, excellent and courteous communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- PrepareU.S. Federal and state trademark prosecution and post-registration documents; drafting trademark goods/services specifications and determine appropriate specimens under attorney supervision.
- Experience withTTAB process, including opposition and cancellation proceedings.
- Monitor and docket post-registration filings, renewals, and maintenance deadlines.
- Draftclient and foreign associate correspondence, including status reports and preparation of deadline charts.
- Manage docketingof critical events utilizing trademark docketing software.
- Generate and maintain docket reports to ensure timely filings and attorney updates.
- Function as liaison with foreign counsel worldwide
Qualifications
- Minimum3 years of recent direct trademark prosecution experience in a law firm
- Solid understanding of U.S. trademark regulations and USPTO procedures
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and file accurate, compliant documents electronically.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Able toprioritize, multitask, and manage complex workloads independently.
- Professional, client-focused communication skills
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office; knowledge of Flex-Trak docketing program is a plus but not a requirement.
Compensation is based on experience and competitive. Paralegals are eligible to work overtime. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
