IP Litigation Associate

Nationally respected Midwest law firm seeks a mid to senior-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its growing IP litigation team in Chicago.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of sophisticated patent, trademark, trade secret, and other complex intellectual property disputes. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of litigation experience, including experience drafting substantive motions and briefs, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and contributing to overall case strategy.

A technical or STEM background is strongly preferred, particularly in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of litigation experience
• Intellectual property litigation experience preferred, particularly patent litigation
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience managing significant components of complex litigation matters
• Illinois bar admission or ability to waive in

Compensation: $220,000-$300,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits.
