Location: Walkersville, MD
Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract through January 2027 with potential for extension
Pay Rate: $21/hour, depending on experience

Beacon Hill’s client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Facilities Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy facility in Walkersville, MD. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and thrives while coordinating multiple priorities. You’ll play a key role in supporting facility operations, vendor coordination, maintenance scheduling, workplace events, and overall office functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Facility Management team by assisting with operational planning and execution of departmental objectives.
- Partner with project teams to provide facility-related support and administrative assistance as needed.
- Handle a variety of facility coordination tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with planning and coordinating workplace events and special functions.
- Manage meeting support activities, including conference room reservations and setup coordination.
- Help organize and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Monitor building and office conditions to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained workplace environment.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, visitors, guests, and service providers.
- Follow up with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure requests are completed and expectations are met.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and facilities personnel to support timely and efficient completion of work while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Assist with procurement of facility-related supplies and services.
- Escort vendors and contractors as required and support equipment and vehicle logistics activities.
- Perform additional administrative and facility-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in Facility Administration, Property Administration, Facilities Coordination, or a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and service-oriented approach.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create, maintain, and customize reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within established deadlines.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
