Tax Specialist

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building your experience within accounting and finance? Our client in the Portland area is looking for a Tax Specialist to support an important long-term project. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, relevant coursework, or early professional experience who is ready to take ownership of their work.

As the Tax Specialist, you will assist with:

• Reviewing customer records and supporting documentation
• Researching missing or incomplete information
• Maintaining accurate records and project tracking
• Organizing and digitizing documents
• Performing data entry and basic Excel work
• Preparing written correspondence as needed
• Assisting with additional accounting and administrative projects

This is a 100% in-office position in the Portland area within a friendly, quiet, and heads-down work environment.

To be considered, you should have:

• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent administrative experience
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Basic Excel and general computer skills
• The ability to work independently and ask thoughtful questions
• Previous accounting, sales tax, or document management exposure is helpful but not required
