Customer Service Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN | Full-Time | Onsite

Format: Temporary Contract | 6-12 Months

Pay: $22-$25 an hour, depending on experience

Beacon Hill is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to support a large-scale customer migration initiative impacting approximately 27,000 customer accounts. This position will play a key role in an ERP consolidation project, helping to transition customers from multiple legal entities into a single purchasing entity. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage detailed data review and customer communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate customer account information across multiple ERP systems.
  • Audit customer records, including account names, addresses, and related data.
  • Utilize approved templates, FAQs, and communication materials to notify customers of upcoming changes.
  • Communicate directly with customers via phone and email regarding account transitions and required actions.
  • Create and maintain tracking spreadsheets to monitor migration progress and outstanding items.
  • Partner with IT teams and project stakeholders to submit and track data updates and system changes.
  • Document customer interactions, migration status updates, and project milestones.
  • Support a smooth and positive customer experience throughout the migration process.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, account support, project coordination, operations, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems or customer data management is a plus.
