Receptionist (Contract)
Location: Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Duration: 8-10 Week Contract Assignment (Coverage for Short-Term Leave)
Pay Rate: $17.75/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to support a busy front desk operation in Huntsville, Alabama. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and employees, creating a positive and welcoming experience while maintaining building security procedures. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet, assist, and check in visitors, guests, and contractors.
  • Create and issue visitor and contractor badges while ensuring compliance with building security procedures.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with conference room scheduling and coordination.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Support onsite teams with various administrative assignments and projects.
  • Submit and track facility maintenance requests.
  • Maintain and update building contact lists and site directories.
  • Update and maintain site operations and concierge documentation as needed.
  • Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responsibilities and work hours to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist, administrative, or front desk experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework or an associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience working in a busy, customer-facing office environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Positive, professional, and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and general computer applications.
