A Beacon Hill client, a reputable company in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability and growth potential within a collaborative accounting department. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, data entry, and reconciliations. The compensation is up to $60,000 annually, depending on experience. Previous accounting or clerical experience required.
Position Summary:
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
* Enter and verify financial data with a high level of accuracy
* Assist with bank and account reconciliations
* Support month-end close and journal entry preparation
* Maintain organized financial records and documentation
* Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
* Assist with audit support and reporting needs
Technical Qualifications:
* 1 to 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience
* Basic understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR, debits/credits)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas)
* Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) preferred
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
