A Beacon Hill client in the professional services industry, located in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering strong stability and growth potential. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across core accounting functions including AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger support. The salary range is depending on experience. Previous experience in a Bookkeeper role is required.
* Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
* Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
* Maintain accurate general ledger records
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
* Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
* Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
* Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed
* 1-3+ years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience required
* Strong experience with AP/AR, reconciliations, and GL maintenance
* Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
* Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables preferred)
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
