A Beacon Hill client, a growing company in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering stability and long-term growth potential within a collaborative accounting department. This role will be responsible for supporting key accounting functions, owning the month-end close process, and contributing to financial reporting and process improvement initiatives. The pay rate is $40-$50/hour, depending on experience.
Position Summary:
* Manage general ledger accounting activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
* Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
* Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
* Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting requests
* Partner with internal departments to improve accounting processes and controls
* Support audit requests and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Technical Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment
* Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
* Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
* CPA or CPA-track candidates are highly preferred
