AP Analyst

Calling all AP Analysts!! Our client, a growing logistics company located in the Rocky Mount, NC area, is looking for a sharp and dependable AP Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a fast-paced, high-volume environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

While working as the AP Analyst, you will support the accounting team with responsibilities including:

  • Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform 3-way matching (PO, invoice, receipt) and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries professionally
  • Assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments (ACH/wires)
  • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain accurate AP records
  • Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments
  • Support month-end close by preparing AP accruals and reports
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency within AP workflows
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations and procurement

To be considered for this position, you would need:

  • 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
  • Experience in a high-volume or logistics/distribution environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
