Our client, a global commercial real estate services firm located in Downtown, Manhattan is looking for a Temporary Receptionist to join their team. Role works onsite at a tech company. This position will start on/around April 30th – July 2026 as a temp with potential to extend/convert. Role is in office schedule between the hours of Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Compensation is $22-25/hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Stripe and Guest experience at the front desk
- Ensuring visitors are properly checked in (i.e. Visitor Lanyards)
- Collaborate with Security on badging support.
- VIP/Event guests- coordinating with Security for arrivals and smooth check in
- Work with hosts and internal partner teams. (eg CorpSec, Events) to ensure adherence to visitor policies
- Store luggage and coats using site protocol
- Be the go-to person for Employees needing help at work, both in-person and in Slack channels
- Escalate any challenges or issues to the Workplace Manager and other Manager
- Connecting with Workplace Manager on any key items, providing additional layers of support
- Ensure all Jira tickets are answered within the SLAs
- Triaging tickets to IT, Security and Workplace DRI as needed
- Triaging with workplace team for any unassigned or questionable items prior to engaging Workplace DRI
- Mailroom/Storage/Swag/Stripe Press
- Overall management/distribution of mail/packages. Utilizing Envoy for this process
- Intaking and distributing swag orders (from online store and company events ie. Convergence)
- Inspects reception equipment to ensure good operating condition (iPads, screens, telephones etc.)
- Manage all approved literature or magazines in the reception
- Workplace Floor Support
- Ordering and restocking office/bathroom supplies as needed
- Ensure approved music playlists are being used
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to call out any facilities needs and report to Workplace Manager
- Onsite and Events Support
- Facilities Support
- Escalate any facilities issues to appropriate vendor
- Submit tickets using the building ticketing system.
