Overview:
A small, Charlotte-based law practice is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support case-related administrative work and client intake. This role is ideal for someone with prior legal industry exposure who is detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in a largely independent environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle client intake calls and gather initial case information
Support case management processes – notes
Manage filing, document organization, and indexing
Draft basic correspondence and letters
Maintain and organize electronic records across multiple systems
Assist with document retrieval and research within internal systems
Provide general administrative support to the attorney as needed
Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a legal environment (law firm or similar)
Basic understanding of North Carolina legal processes preferred
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience with document management systems and online platforms
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment

Comfortable handling routine and detail-heavy work
Schedule & Work Environment:
Part-time: approximately 15-20 hours per week
Flexible schedule within standard business hours (Monday-Friday)

Microsoft Office Suite
Document management and online filing systems (they use Cleo)
