Our client, a higher education institution in the Boston area, is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to support a senior leadership office. This is a 3+ month, onsite assignment, with hours 9:00 AM-5:00 PM and paying $35-40/hour depending on experience. The role operates in a fast-paced, collaborative academic environment supporting executive-level strategy, operations, and university-wide initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative and operational support, including drafting communications, preparing materials, and maintaining documentation
  • Coordinate executive-level meetings, committees, and initiatives (agenda development, logistics, follow-ups, and materials distribution)
  • Manage complex calendaring and planning for senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
  • Act as a liaison between executives and internal departments, facilitating communication and project coordination
  • Support strategic initiatives, governance processes, and executive search efforts
  • Oversee performance planning logistics and maintain organizational resources and reporting documentation
  • Assist with special projects and time-sensitive initiatives requiring strong project management and attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives or performing high-level administrative functions in complex environments
  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
  • Experience supporting committees, governance bodies, or large-scale initiatives preferred
