Our client, a fast‑moving fintech company located in Manhattan, is looking for a Part-Time Temporary Administrative Coordinator to support our in-house immigration program during a peak volume period (summer mobility season). This is a hands-on operational role. You’ll be executing day-to-day casework and a discrete audit project under the direction of our Global People Operations & Director of Operations lead. This position will start ASAP and go on for 3 months. The role will be fully remote with flexibility to potentially come in once a week or twice a month if able to. Compensation is $45/hour.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the immigration ticketing queue (via email): respond to attorneys, clear routine tasks, and flag escalations for the hiring manager
  • Process new case intakes on our immigration case management platform (green card applicants, H-1B, TN, and other visa categories)
  • Track active cases across multiple outside counsel/vendors
  • Conduct routine employee status follow-ups
  • Support light admin work: data entry, tracking, case status updates
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Assist with high-priority one-off cases as they arise, particularly during peak mobility season

Primary Project: Case File Audit

  • Conduct a full audit of active and historical immigration case files across our case management platform and outside counsels
  • Organize findings into a clean, structured format suitable for internal reporting and leadership visibility
  • This is a time-boxed, well-defined deliverable – ideal for a contractor to own start to finish

Ideal Candidate

  • Prior experience in corporate immigration, global mobility, or related, high-sensitivity HR operations work
  • A Plus: prior in-house or law firm/agency-side immigration, paralegal work, or corporate immigration work
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of routine tasks and communications with accuracy and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills – this role involves working across multiple systems/vendors and needs someone who can bring order to fragmented data
  • Self-directed and comfortable with async, remote work; will have a weekly sync plus daily async check-ins with the manager
  • Analytical: comfortable using data tools, spreadsheets, and AI to speed up data structuring, summarization, or repetitive admin work
