Our client, a legal support company is looking for participants for a Virtual Focus Group. This group will happen on Friday, August 21st and will operate remotely between the hours of 10:00 AM-3:00/3:30 PM. Compensation is $25/hr. You must be a resident of Nassau or Suffolk county in New York to be eligible.

To participate in this session, you will need:

  • A Computer, Laptop, or Tablet (sorry, no smart phones) with a webcam, microphone, and stable internet.
  • To call into the meeting from your home or apartment. You may not participate in the group from ANY public location. Additionally, no one else may be in the room with you.
  • To join a 5-minute tech-check zoom meeting at some point before the group to ensure smooth operation of the group. You must call into this tech check from the location you will be calling in from the day of the group and on the same device you plan on using.
  • A pen and paper or Word document up on your computer. You will be asked to give write down responses to questions at certain points during the group. This may happen 2-3 times in the group. You are required to write your answers down on the paper or type them in the word document AND submit them (if requested) after the group via email, before you get paid. (we will go over this in detail during our 5 minute zoom tech meeting.) Questions generally require 2-3 sentences as answers or are several yes/no’s. This is a very small but important part of the group.

This meeting will be recorded. This is for our research purposes only; it will not be redistributed to anyone outside our company. Because this is a real legal case, if you are selected for the group, you will be emailed a confidentiality agreement detailing this and to not discuss this case outside of the Focus Group, which you must sign to participate.

Qualifications

  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally.
  • Meet the legal qualifications necessary for jury service:
    • Must be a US citizen
    • Must not have been convicted of a felony
    • Must be 18 years or older
