A well-established, family-owned Chicago tourism organization is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations for a dynamic workforce that grows significantly during peak season. This is an opportunity to join a highly visible business that has experienced significant growth and is creating its first dedicated HR leadership role. The position offers the chance to build processes, partner closely with executive leadership, and make a meaningful impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-volume seasonal and year-round recruiting
• Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee engagement initiatives
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters
• Administer benefits and support annual open enrollment
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry regulations
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and employee development

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience within hospitality, tourism, restaurant, hotel, entertainment, retail, or service industry experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in high-volume hourly recruiting and employee relations
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices preferred
• Experience supporting hourly and/or seasonal workforces
