This Office Manager position offers $35/hour with potential for permanent conversion at approximately $75,000 annually. The role is fully onsite in Boston with office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM ET, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. This opportunity is with a global management consulting firm specializing in commercial growth, pricing strategy, marketing, and sales optimization. The role focuses on creating a welcoming office environment, supporting employees and visitors, coordinating events, and managing daily office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office operations, facilities, maintenance requests, and vendor relationships
  • Order and organize office supplies, snacks, beverages, and groceries
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of office common areas
  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, candidates, and vendors
  • Coordinate catering, office lunches, and special events
  • Oversee office equipment maintenance and service providers
  • Track office expenses, invoices, receipts, and purchasing activities
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Coordinate onboarding and training for new hires
  • Support office moves, seating arrangements, and floor plan management
  • Plan and execute office events, meetings, and offsite gatherings
  • Maintain spreadsheets, correspondence, calendars, and administrative records
  • Partner with internal departments including Accounts Payable and Legal
  • Support meeting logistics and ensure technology resources are available
  • Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of office management, administrative support, hospitality, or related experience
  • Experience supporting offices with 100+ employees preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Teams, Zoom, calendar management, and expense reporting
  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable demeanor
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to complete cognitive and behavioral assessments during the hiring process
