Our client, a consulting firm located in the Flatiron District, is looking for a Temporary Research & Data Analyst to join their team. This position will start as soon as possible and will start remote, then transition to a hybrid schedule, in office Tuesday-Thursday between the hours of 9:00 am-5:00 pm with potential overtime. Compensation is $20-25/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation for upcoming class action settlement filings
• Intake client data containing large amounts of information
• Identify and extract the specific information required from client data
• Enter extracted information into the client’s template
• Complete high-volume data entry and data organization
• Conduct research to build structured lists of companies, subsidiaries, and affiliated entities using public and internal sources
• Standardize entity names, identifiers, and hierarchies across datasets
• Track parent, subsidiary, and ownership relationships
• Research mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate restructurings
• Analyze, sort, and filter data based on defined research parameters
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, completeness, and formatting
• Flag missing, inconsistent, or ambiguous data for follow-up
• Format and extract specified fields to prepare files for database upload
• Record relevant information about each dataset in Salesforce
• Collaborate with different teams of up to 12 people

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong data entry and data organization skills
• Ability to accurately extract relevant information from large datasets
• Comfortable working on a time-sensitive and important project
• Data Analyst, Operations Associate, or other relevant experience preferred
