Our client is seeking a highly organized, proactive Community Management Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a premier residential community in Long Island City. This is a blended property management, resident services, and office operations role requiring exceptional customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and enjoys creating an exceptional resident experience while supporting property management initiatives. Hours are generally 9:00am-5:30pm, and the position follows a Wednesday-Sunday schedule with Monday and Tuesday as days off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, vendors, and visitors
- Manage resident inquiries via phone, email, walk-ins, and community management platforms
- Coordinate resident communications through BuildingLink, e-blasts, notices, and digital displays
- Support property management operations, including vendor proposals, insurance documentation, invoices, and accounts payable workflows
- Maintain occupancy, move-in, vacancy, pet registration, bicycle, storage, and key management records
- Coordinate office operations, supplies, refreshments, and front desk activity
- Assist with resident ledger inquiries, reporting, adjustments, and basic accounting functions
- Organize and support resident events, community programs, and special projects
- Manage conference room scheduling, office traffic, and office workflow during weekend coverage
- Assist with development and implementation of community management processes and SOPs
- Provide backup support to leasing and property management teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-4 years of experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, office administration, or a related field
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with accounts payable, vendor coordination, and administrative processes preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with Yardi, BuildingLink, or other property management platforms is a plus
- Interest in technology, automation, and process improvement tools preferred
