A leading healthcare association is seeking a Director of Communications to lead executive communications, thought leadership, and strategic storytelling during an exciting period of organizational growth. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team, developing communications that elevate the organization’s brand, member engagement, and industry presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic communications and messaging.
- Develop speeches, talking points, articles, podcasts, newsletters, and thought leadership content.
- Lead communication strategy across digital, social, email, web, video, and podcast channels.
- Manage and mentor a small team while remaining hands-on with content creation.
- Drive modernization efforts, including the use of AI and emerging communication tools.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of communications experience.
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred, especially within associations, healthcare organizations, or health insurance.
- Proven experience supporting C-suite leaders and executive communications.
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and messaging skills.
- Prior people leadership experience in a player-coach environment.
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders.
