HR Manager / Director
Location: Irving, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible start time between 8:00-9:00 AM)
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Compensation: $120,000-$135,000 + Bonus Potential
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager/Director to oversee all aspects of Human Resources operations while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This role is responsible for managing employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, compliance, policy development, and overall HR operations for a growing organization.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-directed HR professional who can balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR responsibilities. This person should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership and department managers on HR initiatives and workforce planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, HR policies, and related documentation.
- Develop, revise, and communicate company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Benefits Administration
- Manage employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
- Lead annual open enrollment activities and employee benefit education.
- Act as the primary liaison with insurance brokers, carriers, and benefit providers.
- Address employee benefit questions and assist with claims resolution.
- Oversee leave administration, including FMLA and related programs.
- Manage COBRA administration and regulatory compliance.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job descriptions, postings, candidate screening, interviewing, offer preparation, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and attract top talent.
- Coordinate candidate communications and hiring approvals.
- Conduct new hire orientation and facilitate a positive onboarding experience.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns and HR policies.
- Investigate employee issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain OSHA reporting requirements and workplace safety documentation.
- Coordinate employee separations, exit documentation, and employment verifications.
- Monitor labor law updates and ensure ongoing compliance.
HR Operations & Office Administration
- Maintain employee handbook, organizational charts, and company directory information.
- Track attendance records and communicate balances to employees and managers.
- Organize employee engagement activities and company events.
- Support facilities, office operations, and workplace initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
- Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong background in benefits administration and HR compliance.
- Knowledge of employment laws, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, workers’ compensation, and OSHA requirements.
- Experience handling employee relations matters and policy administration.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred
- Experience with Paycom HRIS/payroll software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams.
