This temporary Development Assistant opportunity offers $23/hour for approximately 20 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The position is located in Boston and supports a nonprofit advocacy organization during a major fundraising campaign. The role begins fully onsite and transitions to a hybrid schedule after several weeks. The assignment is expected to run through July 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend recurring campaign and consultant meetings and take detailed, professional notes
  • Track action items and follow up on assignments to ensure completion
  • Enter donor meeting notes and campaign activity into Salesforce
  • Update prospect stages and maintain accurate donor records
  • Run and modify Salesforce reports as needed
  • Conduct donor and prospect research using research tools and databases
  • Monitor and contribute to campaign-related Slack and email communications
  • Organize and maintain campaign information for the development team
  • Handle confidential donor and organizational information with discretion
  • Support fundraising campaign initiatives and other administrative projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong note-taking and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Professional and collaborative approach when working with stakeholders
  • Strong time management and follow-through skills
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technology
  • Salesforce or CRM experience preferred
  • Prospect research experience or familiarity with tools such as DonorSearch preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
