This role supports transportation, logistics, and distribution operations through sourcing and procurement initiatives, carrier management, data analysis, and reporting. The position partners with internal stakeholders and external transportation providers to drive operational efficiencies, evaluate service and cost opportunities, monitor market conditions, and support strategic decision-making across the supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support transportation sourcing and procurement events, including bid management, carrier engagement, project setup, and process execution.
- Drive logistics initiatives by monitoring project progress, resolving issues, and providing recommendations based on transportation and distribution data.
- Analyze carrier performance, freight trends, market conditions, and benchmarking data to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations related to transportation operations, procurement activities, and supply chain performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transportation, distribution, operations, procurement, and vendor partners to improve efficiency and service levels.
- Present findings, operational insights, and recommendations to business leaders to support strategic transportation and distribution decisions.
