About the Role

Will administer, manage, and monitor all systems—including databases—across development, test, and production environments. Monitor and manage system and database backups, restore procedures, and disaster recovery readiness. Design, implement, and manage system and database security, including user access, groups, roles, and permissions. Oversee the implementation and testing of all infrastructure changes, collaborate with developers to ensure compliance with standards and functional accuracy. Develop and improve specialized systems and databases to solve business problems and support operational excellence. Conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning for infrastructure- or database-related issues impacting store systems. Provide Tier 3 technical support for daily store conversions, address escalated issues during and after the transition. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth conversion rollouts and post-conversion stability. Provide support for database synchronization failures between store systems and back-office platforms during stack conversions, ensuring accurate data flow and operational continuity. Resolve POS and Verifone pin-pad malfunctions caused by incorrect configuration data, minimize transaction disruptions and improve store system reliability. Troubleshoot fuel controller connectivity and calibration issues by analyzing system communication failures and coordinating configuration updates to maintain accurate fuel operations. Investigate and resolve handheld device (7MD) synchronization issues with central systems using tools such as Wise Manager and Store Connector, ensuring successful data transmission and device functionality. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet technical and customer needs; proactively communicate issues and status updates. Develop and recommend alternative solutions based on technical assessments and project requirements. Participate in daily standups and syncs (e.g., Hypercare), contribute to continuous process improvement and document evolving standards. Research and recommend IT tools and solutions that improve efficiency and performance across systems and databases.

Position requires up to 100% domestic travel. This position is for full-time, salaried (W-2), permanent employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
