Job Summary:

Our client is a well-established electrical contractor seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage union and non-union payroll, certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, and labor compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly union and non-union payroll for 150+ employees, including earnings, deductions, fringe benefits, overtime, and garnishments.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports while ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws, union agreements, and labor regulations.
• Manage payroll tax filings, employee benefit deductions, and year-end reporting (W-2s, 1095s, 1099s).
• Maintain union wage schedules, labor classifications, and fringe benefit calculations.
• Review subcontractor certified payroll, insurance documentation, and project compliance requirements.
• Prepare payroll, labor cost, and compliance reporting while supporting audits and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of union payroll and labor compliance experience within the construction industry.
• Extensive knowledge of certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage requirements, and union labor agreements.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance, fringe benefit reporting, and multi-state payroll processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
