Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close process and prepare journal entries
- Perform account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Manage prepaid expense accounting and reconciliations
- Review accounts receivable activity, collections, and aging reports
- Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger
- Assist with regulatory reporting and audit preparation
- Analyze budget-to-actual variances and financial results
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong general ledger and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in nonprofit or public accounting environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
