ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and being part of a close-knit organization? A privately held manufacturing and distribution company in the Memphis, TN area is looking for an Accounting Manager to join its team.
In this role, you will oversee daily accounting operations, support and guide the accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead month-end and year-end close activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who values both collaboration and accountability in a family-run business environment.
What You’ll Do
- Complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and support the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Partner with the Director of Finance on the year-end physical inventory count.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and prepare requested documentation.
- Support cash applications, collections, and aging analysis.
- Review accounts receivable trends and recommend ways to improve cash flow and collections.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within the accounting function.
- Assist with other accounting responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Finance.
