AP MANAGER: DETAILS
Title: AP Manager
Location: Nashville TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $28-33/hour
Type: Contract to Hire
Hours: 8am-5pm | Monday – Friday | 40 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS: AP MANAGER
* Experience: 3+ years of accounts payable experience.
* Knowledge of SCT/Banner finance module with specific knowledge in the accounts payable and purchasing module
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint etc…)
RESPONSIBILITIES: AP MANAGER
* 1-2 direct reports
* Processing all accounts payable, travel reimbursements and other miscellaneous vendor transactions.
* Review check requests, requisitions and purchase orders to ensure proper coding, authorized signatures, and appropriate supporting documentation.
* Match invoices to Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy of invoices, request paper work for invoices received without prior approvals.
* Maintains a schedule of fixed payments that are due monthly.
* Prepares lead sheets and schedules that assist external audit firm.
* Establish and maintain all vendor files.
* Acts as liaison between university and vendors.
* Maintains and mails 1099’s.
* Performs other duties as may be identified by the Vice President for Business & Finance and/or the Controller.
* Cross train with other team members and establish and maintain a procedures manual for key processes in the business office
* Assist other team members in completing monthly account reconciliations
* Participate in team meetings including, brainstorming, process mapping, and status updates
* Participate in other University teams and strategic initiatives to foster cross-collaboration and enhance communication within the University
* Assist external auditors in pulling supporting documents for transactions and other audit assistance as necessary
* This individual is a professional accountant who operates within the scope of responsibility outlined by the Vice President for Business & Finance, and in a manner, that protects the financial integrity of the University.
