Beacon Hill is searching for a Senior Accountant to join a high-growth, VC-backed technology company to support its expanding accounting function. The organization operates in a fast-paced, SaaS-based environment and is leveraging innovative technology to scale its business.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting to the Assistant Controller. The team is looking for a strong technical accountant who can quickly integrate into the close process, support financial reporting, and help improve accounting operations as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and accelerate the month-end close process, including GL and financial reporting
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with technical accounting matters, including:
- ASC 606 (revenue recognition)
- ASC 842 (leases)
- Stock-based compensation
- M&A-related accounting
- Maintain accurate, GAAP-compliant financials and analyze results
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Partner cross-functionally with finance and leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong background in technical accounting, GL, and financial reporting
- Proven experience supporting or owning month-end close
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Demonstrated career progression and solid tenure
Preferred Experience
- Experience in tech/SaaS environments
- Exposure to NetSuite and/or Salesforce
- CPA and/or public accounting background
- Familiarity with automation or AI tools in accounting workflows
