Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit in Brooklyn to bring an AP Manager to their team. This role is responsible for managing the full AP cycle, maintaining positive vendor relationships, supporting cash flow management, and ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. If you have 10+ years of AP experience, please apply!
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor transactions
- Manage cash disbursements and payment schedules while balancing business priorities and cash flow considerations
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including resolving disputes, negotiating payment arrangements, and addressing account inquiries
- Supervise and mentor two direct reports, providing training, guidance, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a collaborative team environment through coaching, cross-training, and knowledge sharing
- Review AP workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support procurement-related activities, including vendor setup, purchasing processes, and internal controls, as needed
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, reporting, and audit requests
